Clean Up Australia Day: Rubbish Collection

Students took part in Clean Up Australia Day, working together to help care for our local environment. It was a fantastic effort from everyone involved!

Rams House collected an impressive 5.8 kilograms of rubbish, earning 580 house points. Eagles House also did an amazing job, collecting 5.4 kilograms of rubbish, which earned them 540 house points.

We are proud of all students for showing teamwork, responsibility, and care for God’s creation. Well done to both houses for their outstanding efforts!

Clean Up Australia Day: Carp Fishing Competition

A big thank you to our amazing students who rolled up their sleeves to help clean up our local river, the beautiful Campaspe River. In just two hours down by the water, the team managed to catch a total of 4 carp while also doing their part to care for our environment.

We’re proud of their effort, teamwork, and commitment to keeping our waterways clean and healthy! Biggest carp for the day was 72cm caught by Jack.

Points earned for houses included:

1st: Jack (Rams), 100 points

2nd: George (Rams), 75 points

3rd: Alana (Eagles), 50 points

4th: Phoebe (Rams), 25 points Total: Rams 200 Points, Eagles 50 points.

Value Award Assembly

It was a proud moment for our school community last Friday as we held our very first Value Award Assembly. This special event celebrated the many students who have demonstrated outstanding effort and achievement so far this year.

During the assembly, we recognised those students who have earned nine merits within a single value area, achieving a prestigious Value Award. These awards are rooted in our CHRIST Values of Courage, Humility, Respect, Initiative, Self-Control and Trust, which continue to guide and shape our school community.

We are incredibly proud of all the students who were recognised. Their commitment to living out our values in their daily learning and interactions is a wonderful example to others. Congratulations to each and every award recipient — we look forward to celebrating even more successes in the months ahead.

School Captains Presentation

We were delighted to welcome Hon. Peter Walsh, MP for Murray Plains, into school recently, where he spent time with our School Captains, Charlotte and Miley, discussing leadership and the important role they play within our community. Peter asked thoughtful and inspiring questions, encouraging our captains to reflect on their responsibilities, the example they set for others, and the impact they can have on school life.

It was a valuable opportunity for our student leaders to share their experiences and consider how they can continue to grow in confidence and character. To recognise their commitment and leadership, they were each presented a certificate. We are incredibly proud of the mature and considered way they represented our school during this special visit.

Student for a Day

On Tuesday our Principal, Mr Sourgen, stepped into the shoes of a Prep student for the day!

What a fantastic opportunity to experience school through the eyes of our youngest learners. From hands-on activities to playground fun, it was a wonderful reminder of the joy, curiosity, and growth that fills our classrooms each day.

Initiatives like this help us share the heart behind what we do — building strong relationships, nurturing a love of learning, and creating a school community where every child is known and valued.
