Recently, the Prep/Year 1 students have enjoyed creating Rainbow Fish and Lion Masks during their Creative Play lesson. When reading the book “Rainbow Fish”, they learnt about sharing and how each person is unique and created in the image of God. When reading the Bible story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den, students learnt how important it is to have trust in God.

The Beacon Career Expo was a big success. Students gained valuable information about potential careers and we even had a stand there with Mrs Riske and Mrs Bruffell, for local students who are interested in a teaching career, with our ACC teacher training program.
Year ⅞ Engineering students have had an exciting start to their topic for this term- “Bridge Building”. After learning about the different types of bridges, students put their knowledge to the test. They built spaghetti and marshmallow bridges! The bridges had to withstand certain weights, with the students having to follow strict rules on how their bridges could be built. Here are some photos from their bridge building task! I look forward to seeing what skills students develop this term through learning more about bridges.

A massive congratulations to those students who represented the college at the SSV Campaspe Cross Country last Friday. A massive effort to show up after four days of camp and then to have four students qualify for the regional run to be held in St Arnaud on the 27th of May.
Well done to Anthony, Amelia, Trinity and Georgia on qualifying!
