Book Week Costume Parade

We had a fantastic day on Monday celebrating our Book Week Parade!

It was wonderful to see everyone dressed up and embracing the spirit of Book Week. Our parade was filled with vibrant colours, creative costumes and so many imaginative ideas.

A big thank you to everyone who got involved, put so much effort into their costumes and, most importantly, joined in the fun. It was a wonderful day of creativity, celebration and community, and we loved seeing everyone’s enthusiasm!

Primary Cartooning Workshop

On Monday afternoon, our Primary students had a wonderful time with Brett Cardwell from Cardytoons, exploring the fun and creative world of cartooning!

Students learned how to bring their ideas to life, creating a range of fun and imaginative characters, including a girl, a superhero dog, an evil RoboCat and a ninja chicken popping out of its egg!

To finish the afternoon, students put their new skills to the test by creating their very own comic strips, bringing their characters together to tell a story.

It was a fantastic afternoon filled with creativity, laughter and lots of imaginative ideas. A big thank you to Brett from Cardytoons for inspiring our budding artists and cartoonists!

Secondary Stop Motion Workshop

Our Secondary students also had the opportunity to get creative with Brett Cardwell from Cardytoons on Monday, exploring the exciting world of claymation and stop-motion animation.

Students had lots of fun experimenting with movement and storytelling, bringing their creations to life one frame at a time. Their clay slugs were a particular highlight, along with a range of other interesting and imaginative stop-motion scenes!

It was a fantastic hands-on experience that encouraged students to think creatively, experiment with animation and, most importantly, have plenty of fun along the way.

A big thank you to Brett from Cardytoons for another wonderful and inspiring few sessions with our secondary students!

Playgroup Book Week

Playgroup joined in on the fun this week, hosting their very own dress-up day to celebrate Book Week!

It was wonderful to see our youngest learners getting into the spirit of the celebrations with their creative and colourful costumes. There were plenty of smiles, excitement and book-inspired fun!

A big thank you to Mrs Di and the Playgroup team for creating such a fun and memorable Book Week celebration for the little ones.
