5/6 Lawn Bowls
On Wednesday, our 5/6 students (and Jeremiah) split into two teams to compete in the Campaspe Primary Lawn Bowls Tournament, held in Moama at the Moama Bowling Club. They had a fantastic day out with Mrs Bruffell, learning lots about the sport and enjoying the opportunity to represent our school.
National Simultaneous Storytime
On Wednesday, the Prep to Grade 4 students joined 2.28 million people across Australia in taking part in National Simultaneous Storytime. The live recording featured a reading of Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller, along with a live drawing demonstration and creator interviews. The event brought together storytelling, creativity and soccer in an unforgettable celebration of literacy.
5/6 & P/1 Classes Reading Together
The Prep/1 and 5/6 classes took the opportunity to enjoy each other’s company, spending time getting to know one another and sharing the joy of reading together.
Secondary Camp
The secondary students spent four jam-packed days at Camp Howqua this past week. Students and staff enjoyed a huge variety of activities including archery, the waterslide, survivor course, high ropes, initiatives course, horse riding, disc golf, the flying fox and the unnatural walk.
There was also plenty of time each night for students to enjoy games and activities together, from card games and Stalk the Lantern to Throw Throw Burrito at the teachers, impromptu jam sessions and singing around the fire.
Each evening, students also heard testimonies from the teachers alongside a short devotion and prayer time. The campsite offered fantastic facilities, amazing food and staff who were so much fun to spend time with, helping make the camp a memorable experience for everyone involved.
We even got to celebrate Callum's birthday with him on the last day of camp!
