P/1 P.E.

This week our amazing Prep/1 students have been exploring gross motor skills, with a special focus on balancing!

Through a variety of fun and engaging activities, students have been discovering all the different ways they can balance — on one foot, on different body parts, using equipment, and even creating their own balancing challenges!

Developing balance not only builds strength and coordination, but also supports confidence, concentration, and overall physical development. We are so proud of the effort, determination, and big smiles we’ve seen throughout the week!

Well done, Prep/1! Keep practicing those balancing skills!

9/10 P.E.

Our Year 9/10 students had a fantastic time in PE this week learning the basics of American Football! From passing and catching drills to friendly mini-games, there was plenty of teamwork, laughter, and healthy competition on display.

It was great to see students stepping outside their comfort zones, building skills, and having fun while staying active. Well done, everyone!

9/10 Science

Our Year 9/10 students explored how chemical energy transfers into thermal (heat) energy through hands-on experiments. Great to see science come alive through practical learning!

7-10 Fishing Elective

Our Fishing Elective is off to an exciting start as students build their skills, confidence, and appreciation for the outdoors. Through practical, hands-on experiences, students are learning about responsible fishing practices, water safety, and the importance of caring for our local waterways.

This program not only develops patience and teamwork, but also encourages students to connect with nature while understanding their role in protecting river environments. We look forward to sharing more highlights and upcoming fishing activities and events throughout the term.

2/3/4 Billabong Ranch Camp

The Grade 2/3/4 students with Mrs Broad, Mrs Rudduck and Mr Davey have had a fantastic start to camp! So far, they’ve enjoyed bouldering, tackling the low ropes course, trying the animal walk, heading out on an orienteering walk, and even going on a cart ride.

We can’t wait to share even more photos and highlights in next week’s newsletter!
